Blink is a shared disposable camera for weddings, birthdays, parties, and other gatherings.
Most event photo-sharing tools make photos available immediately. That sounds useful, but it changes the behavior: people check what was taken, curate what they upload, and spend more time looking at a feed than being present. Traditional disposable cameras have the opposite problem: they create candid photos, but everyone has to carry a camera, develop the film, and manually share the results.
Blink combines the two.
A host creates an event and shares a QR code with guests. Guests scan it in their phone browser and join the event without downloading an app or creating an account. They take a limited number of photos throughout the event, contributing to one shared roll. The photos remain hidden while the event is happening and are revealed together the following morning.
The result is intentionally closer to a disposable camera than a live photo album. You don't know what everyone else captured, and guests have a reason to keep taking photos because they won't be reviewing the results in real time.
Blink is initially focused on consumer events where candid memories matter most, particularly weddings, birthdays, celebrations, and milestone gatherings. The business model is centered on hosts paying to create and run event cameras.
The product is currently in its early stage, and we're focused on validating whether the shared-roll and delayed-reveal experience makes people choose Blink over existing event photo-sharing options. The biggest things we're looking to learn are which types of events have the strongest demand, what makes hosts comfortable paying for it, and what parts of the guest experience need improvement.
